James Caan
James Caan has been building and selling businesses for twenty years. He is now best known as one of the all powerful investors in BBC2's Dragons' Den - with homes in London, the South of France and Pakistan.
Caan's executive head hunting empire extended to hundreds of offices in dozens of countries across the world. He then put himself through the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School and moved into private equity, specialising in turnarounds and development opportunities in the UK and Europe.
Caan and his companies have been showered with awards, from BT's Enterprise of the Year to PricewaterhouseCoopers' Entrepreneur of the Year and the Entrepreneur category in the Asian Jewel Awards.
In 2009 James was appointed new co-chair on the Ethnic Minority Business Taskforce, which supports over 280,000 businesses, contributing in excess of £20 billion a year to the UK economy.
