Lawrence has cooked for a number of dignitaries and royals, including the Queen Mother, Margaret Thatcher and the late King Hussein of Jordan. Lawrence has produced a recipe book called Food For Life, from which all proceeds went to the National Kidney Foundation. He is currently working on his next book Rediscovering Food & Flavours: The Kidney Care Cookbook.

Lawrence has made regular appearances on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, UKTV’s daily show Market Kitchen, BBC Two’s series Food Poker in autumn 2007 and also appeared with James Martin in his UKTV series “Brittany” and “Champagne” (to be transmitted on 26th January 2009). More recently, he has been involved with World Kidney Day (March 2009) highlighting the plight of those who are suffering with Kidney disease – as part of the campaign Lawrence was asked to appear on the Chris Evans radio show. His appearance was such a success that they are going to make it a regular part of the show.

Lawrence also appeared in “Bizarre Foods” with Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel in the USA.
