Greg Wise was born in Newcastle in 1966 and despite a fading accent remains proud of his north eastern origins.

He has appeared in many British television works, as well as several feature films, (most notably the role of John Willoughby in the Oscar winning hit Sense and Sensibility).

Greg has appeared in a number of BBC productions including The Moonstone with Keeley Hawes, Madame Bovary with Frances O'Connor and as most recently as Lord Charles Maulver in the 2007 five-part series Cranford which was critically acclaimed.

Outside the worlds of stage and screen Greg has been a prominent supporter of various aid projects in Africa with whome he works closely with his wife, the Oscar winning actress Emma Thompson. He is an accomplished after dinner, motivational speaker and event host/facilitator.
