Dr. John Paul Leach
John Paul finally settled on pursuing a medical career but during his lengthy studies he was also able to fulfil his desire to perform.
Over the course of a few years John Paul made numerous appearances in all the country's top comedy clubs as well as appearing in four very successful runs in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
JP is also a writer, having produced a humorous weekly column for the Glasgow Herald for two years and has penned an award winning play too.
He has also contributed to publications such as Scotland on Sunday, FourFourTwo (a football periodical) and the Glasgow Celtic Matchday Programme.
In 1996, having completed his research thesis on the treatment of epilepsy, he moved to Liverpool to train as a neurologist. He is now a consultant neurologist in Glasgow.
Today JP speaks regularly at a wide variety of medical and non-medical functions and he continues to entertain his audiences with his very funny sense of humour.
