Bruno Tonioli
BRUNO TONIOLI (Choreographer) came to London as a leading member of the Paris based company La Grande Eugene before joining the Lyndsay Kemp Company. He worked as a dancer in every field of the industry. He started his choreographic career with Pamela Stevenson and the Not The Nine O'clock News team.
Over 20 Motion Picture Credits include Little Voice starring Michael Caine and Jane Horrocks, Ella Enchanted starring Anne Hathaway and Hugh Dancy, What A Girl Wants starring Amada Bynes, A Gathering Storm starring Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave, and Enigma starring Kate Winslet, Dougray Scott and Saffron Burroughs.
Theatre productions include Steve Coogan's show The Man Who Thinks He's It - national tour and sell-out run at the Lyceum Theatre, London, What A Feeling national tour, La Vie Parisienne for the Scottish National Opera, Godspell for the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke, Viva Espana at the Arts Theatre, London and Flying High W11 Opera at the Royal Opera House
His television credits include Agatha Christie’s The Body in the Library (LWT), Ab Fab (BBC), Scarlet Pimpernelle (BBC), French and Saunders Christmas Special (BBC) and 3 Royal Variety Shows.
Bruno has worked extensively in the music business, choreographing videos, stage shows and tours for many artists including Tina Turner, Elton John, Boy George, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Freddie Mercury and Duran Duran. His close association with Bananarama involved 15 videos and, of course, their World Tour.
Bruno has choreographed over 100 TV commercials including Halifax, Royal Mail, the Allied Dunbar series, British Airways, Levi Jeans, Tropicana (USA) and MacDonalds
Bruno appears as a panel judge on the BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing, and on the American version called Dancing with the Stars on the ABC network.
